When 80-year-old Mary-Ann goes missing from her New York City apartment her daughter, Rose, ruminates on her and her mother’s relationship as she searches for clues to her whereabouts. As Rose thinks back on their recent history, filled with both light-hearted and melancholy memories, she begins to second guess recent decisions made around her mother’s health. With Mary-Ann’s dementia casting a shadow over the situation, Rose is against the clock to find her mother before sundown, in fear of her being lost wandering the city in the dark.

Secret Service Agents Lawkins and Cortez investigate a print shop that they suspect is the hub of a counterfeit money ring. When they question Max, the owner of the shop, they realize they may have speculated too quickly, and are unable to find evidence that Max has anything to do with the crime. The agents must ask themselves if they admit to their mistake or shape the story in their own way…
