Bryson Lima (he/him) is a New York City-based filmmaker and playwright. He is passionate about telling thought-provoking stories about dynamic characters as they navigate obstacles, while creating a production environment in which fresh ideas, unique talent, and artistry are celebrated.
Bryson is currently the Senior Specialist, Global Content Acquisitions & Co-Productions, at National Geographic in New York City. Previously, he was an Executive Assistant, Program Strategy & Content Planning at Disney (FX, Freeform, Disney Channel, National Geographic.) Before that, he was the Executive Assistant to the UPM/Producer on the Amazon limited-series, "The Underground Railroad". His early professional experience includes freelance videography and photography, as well as working on a number of films and movies as a production assistant.
In June 2018 Bryson graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design with his Bachelor's Degree in Film & Television. Prior to that, he obtained his Associate in Science Degree of Digital TV & Media Production from Eastern Florida State College in 2015. During college Bryson completed media productions internships with NBCUniversal Creative and Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems.
Some of Bryson's notable work includes a SCAD original sitcom called "The Buzz" (Producer, Director, Production Supervisor,) which won the "Best Scripted Series" award at the 38th College Television Academy Emmy® Awards. He also produced and co-directed a short documentary called "Ghost Light" which has been submitted to various film festivals around the country. “Time of Death”, an independent film that Bryson directed, has been accepted to film festivals internationally and has won several awards. In addition, Bryson has produced numerous projects such as short narrative films, documentaries, music videos, promotional pieces, and commercials.
